Pinterest-inspired projects

I enjoy Pinterest, and I’ve actually been trying to make some of the ideas I’ve pinned recently.  Today I made this wreath with felt flowers, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!  I bought a foam wreath, covered it in yarn, made some felt flowers, glued them on, and voila!  It took a little time but was actually pretty easy.  (I followed this tutorial for the flowers…and this one, too.)

I made this with the same yarn a few weeks ago.  All you do is form some wire in the shape of your word and start wrapping.  It’s really that simple….

What about you?  Do you love Pinterest?  Do you actually ever replicate or make the ideas you pin?

This makes me laugh, Katie. I’ve been doing some pinterest related projects lately and was going to type up a blog post on it tonight!

Love the wreath, so cute and seems pretty easy. Great job!

Beautiful, Katie! Where did you get your felt? Looks like felted wool more than felt…

I have a few projects in the works right now. A wreath with a K-State theme is my next project! I’m also modge podging a photo onto canvas and creating a quote onto a smaller canvas for a friend’s 30th birthday.

I just pinned your wreath! So cute! I have done quite a few projects that I’ve pinned and I also just use it a lot for inspiration when I’m trying to makeover rooms, furniture, etc.

The wreath is so pretty! Where did you hang or place it? You always have liked making things. Remember the pins made from hot glue and do-dads with the safety pin on the back?

[...] this year.  I forgot that I already blogged about making one of these back in September (you can read about it here & get links for the tutorials I used), but I couldn’t resist sharing it [...]
